The creative dialogue between place and paint, as well as a tactile exploration process, are the foundation of Lola's work. Her paintings explore how experiences get ingrained in memory. She is particularly fascinated by the way emotional responses play a role in creating memories and may be incorporated into and portrayed through artistic expression. She considers the emotional effect that every shape, line, colour, and mark has on the observer. Her compositions frequently interact with one another, flowing playfully from one stroke to the next.
